Phillip J. Strohm, MSFS

Shareholder, Client Advisor

During his junior year of college, Phil began his career at Meristem as an intern. In the 15 years that have since passed, Phil has spent time working in nearly every area of the firm and found his niche in the advising side. Through the years, he has worked alongside Meristem’s senior partners serving some of Meristem’s largest client families. The experience has afforded Phil deep knowledge across all of Meristem’s service offerings. He is adept a homing in on the essence of complicated situations, making him an ideal advisor for C-suite executives, business owners, and first-generation wealth accumulators.

Phil has developed a keen understanding of the dynamics of managing multi-generational wealth and working with multiple family members. He credits his work across the firm in building a strong foundation of understanding and instilling process into oftentimes complex financial situations. In his years in the industry, Phil has gained the respect of client families and internal colleagues. Because of his success and skill, Phil was recognized as a Shareholder in 2020.

Phil considers his role as a trusted guide with a strong sense of responsibility and obligation, and the families that Phil serves know without hesitation that he’s fully invested in their best interests – today and for generations to come. Born and raised in Naples, Phil moved to Minnesota in 2002 to attend St Olaf college. He currently lives in Plymouth with his wife, Maiken, and their two sons.
